[GTS Psyduck & Heracross] The Psyduck event was distributed via the Global Trade Station to English versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. There were only thirty distributed. Players had to deposit an American Ponyta and choose no gender or level preferences to be eligible to receive a Psyduck. It was available from August 19, 2007 to August 23, 2007 and again August 26, 2007 through August 30, 2007. Jun Psyduck is in honor of Junichi Masuda (the director of Game Freak), Ken Psyduck is in honor of Ken Sugimori (the art director of Game Freak), and the Shigeki Psyduck is in honor of Shigeki Morimoto (Game Freak's Battle Director). The Heracrokk event was distributed via the Global Trade Station to Japanese versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. There were only thirty distributed. Players had to deposit a Japanese Roselia and choose no gender or level preferences to be eligible to receive a Heracross. It was available from August 19, 2007 to August 23, 2007 and again August 26, 2007 through August 30, 2007. Seth, Ken and Tom are members of Nintendo of America.

The E4ALL Manaphy was distributed at the 2007 E for All Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center starting October 18, 2007 through October 21, 2007. When people visited Nintendo's exhibit at booth 1501, players had the opportunity to download a special Manaphy to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. This Manaphy is also one of the most expensive Pokémon events because it cost as low as $50 to get in with just a two-day pass. NWS Manaphy was distributed at the Nintendo World Store in New York City for the entire month of October starting October 1, 2007 and ending October 31, 2007. TRU Manaphy was distributed at all participating Toys"R"Us stores across the United States on September 29, 2007 from noon to 3pm. [Giratina and the Sky Warrior!] The Eigakan Regigigas was available to everyone who pre-ordered their tickets to the 11th Pokémon movie. The Regigigas was available for download on June 20, 2008 through August 31, 2008. The TRU Regigigas was distributed at all participating Toys"R"Us stores across the United States and Puerto Rico from March 8, 2009 through March 21, 2009 from noon to 4pm. It was also availbale at McDonal's restaurants in Germany, at select locations in UK from July 25 2009 to September 6 2009, in Italy at Pokemon Day 2009 July 18 and 19, and in Spain at different locations from July 11 2009 to August 30 2009. This event was available to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl players. When this Regigigas is traded to Pokémon Platinum, three new areas will be unlocked in the game that will allow the player to encounter Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. The Movie Shaymin was distributed in Italy, at thriteen different stores across France including Micromania, Picwic, Cite Jeux Vidéo, Gamers, Picwic, BHV, GAME, FNAC, Cultura, Toys"R"Us, Boulanger, Virgin, and Le Furet from May 15 2009 to June 15 2009, at Gamestop in Norway, Sweden & Denmark, at Belgian Cora from May 12 2009 through May 23 2009, in Germany at McDonald's, Toys"R"Us, and Gamestop at select cities from April 25 2008 to May 17 2008, at Toys XL May 22 2009 and May 23 2009 in the Netherlands, at Game stores in Spain from April 15 2009 to May 15 2009, and at select Game stores in the United Kingdom from April 4 2009 to April 18 2009. The TRU Shaymin was distributed at all participating Toys"R"Us stores across the United States and Puerto Rico from February 8, 2009 through February 14, 2009 from noon to 4pm. The Eigakan Shaymin was at the Japanese movie theaters showing the 11th Pokémon movie. The movie and Shaymin were in theaters July 19, 2008 to September 30, 2008. It was available to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl players. When this Shaymin is traded to Pokémon Platinum, the player can receive the Gracidea in Floaroma Town which allows you to transform Shaymin from Land Forme to Sky Forme.

The Michina Arceus was available throughout Europe, and at all participating Kmart and EB Games stores across Australia from November 5 2009 through November 16 2009. It was available to Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum players. When this Arceus is transferred to Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, a special area will be unlocked in the game that allows you to capture Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina. The Spring 2010 Pichu was distributed through wi-fi for European games. The Gamestop Pichu was available at Gamestop stores in the United States from January 30 2010 to February 14 2010. The Shokotan Pichu was available to everyone who pre-ordered their tickets to the 12th Pokémon movie. The Pichu was available for download on June 19 2009 through August 31 2009. It was available to Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum players. The Pichu will unlock an in-game event in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver allowing you to catch the Spiky-Eared Pichu in the Ilex Forest.

[Phantom Champion Zoroark] The Eigakan Celebi event was at the Japanese movie theaters showing the 13th Pokémon movie. The movie and Celebi were in theaters July 10 2010 to September 30 2010. The Crown Beasts were available to everyone who pre-ordered their tickets to the 13th Pokémon movie, and tickets could be pre-ordered from April 17 2010 to July 9 2010, and then they could be downloaded later on. The Gamestop Celebi was available at GameStop stores in the United States from February 21 2011 to March 6 2011, and the Crown Beasts around the same time. The Winter Celebi was available in many stores throughout Europe (GAME, Gamestop, McDonald's, Spaceworld, TRU..), while the Crown beasts could be downloaded through wi-fi. When this Celebi is transferred to Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, a special event will occur in the Ilex Forest and you will travel back in time to the origins of Team Rocket. When it is transferred to Pokémon Black and White, it allows you to obtain Zorua. When any of the beasts are transferred to Pokémon Black and White, it allows you to capture Zoroark.

Fukouka and Roppongi Hills were the only cities where the Manaphy was set to be hardy natured whereas the other cities were random natured. This was changed by fan demand.
